A String Class Technique Book that Also Works in Private Lessons
Getting in Shape for Cello gives you finger exercises and short pieces that work on agility and playing in different keys at a second-year playing level.
The book can be used as part of a heterogeneous string class, in conjunction with Getting in Shape for Violin, Getting in Shape for Viola, and Getting in Shape for Bass.
To be more helpful in classes with mixed levels, each exercise and song is included as version A for lower level players and as version B for higher level players. Both version A and version B can be played together, allowing students of different levels to play and learn together in the same class.
In this book, the “A” pages are all in first position while the “B” pages have some fourth position.
